Please note commendable progress over the last year. The district’s budget process is thoughtful, transparent, and nationally recognized, with strong alignment to The Bellingham Promise. Grant funding has played a growing role over the past decade, supporting areas not typically funded by the state. Budget planning is transparent, clearly laid out across the calendar year, aligned with the district’s priorities, and regularly updated through board meetings and direct communication from the superintendent. Reports are easy to understand, highlight challenges and reflect a commitment to learning and process improvement. 3. Please note areas for additional improvement. None. 4.
