A consulting firm should be hired to analyze district performance related to education goals and use of financial means across programs. I’m not sure these would give me confidence in the school district Move on audits won't help at this point Neither provides confidence. The results might provide confidence if they are good but doing what you are already required to doesn’t improve your standing and spending money on something, other than what should be the main focus of a school district- educating children- doesn’t provide confidence. It shows the district is more focused on image than actual quality education. Nice, sure but from what money? Required extensive state audit & quarterly community partner transparency in reporting (still shocked at cost of charter bus use for sports last year) State and Forensic audit paid by the parties responsible for the “accounting errors” That degree of audit which allows MLSD to best understand A) what happened, B) where the errors occurred, and C) how to absolutely prevent it moving forward.
