Oak Harbor Public Schools Board of Directors, Island County, Washington, will hold a regular meeting. The board president will
call the meeting to order.
Background
Policy 1400 states in part, "Regular meetings are held at 6:00 p.m. on the second Monday and last Monday of each month in the
district boardroom or at other times and places as determined by the presiding officer or by majority vote of the board. An
agenda of the business to be transacted will be posted on the district website not less than twenty-four (24) hours in advance of
the published start time of the meeting.
If the board holds regular meetings at places other than the district boardroom or if the board adjourns to times other than a
regular meeting time, the board will provide notice of the meeting in the same manner as provided for special meetings. All
regular meetings of the board are held within the district boundaries."

Two agreements are included: 1) Uniform Clinical Education Affiliation Agreement and 2)Business Associate Agreement
The Human Body and Internship course at Oak Harbor High School provides approximately 33 students the opportunity to
explore healthcare careers. The first and second trimesters focus on human anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, legal
aspects of patient care, and American Red Cross certification in First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens, and Adult/Child/Infant CPR

/AED. During the 3rd trimester, the students apply skills and training in clinical settings in unpaid job-shadowing opportunities
with local health care providers. These on-the-job experiences allow our students to make informed choices about future
education and career goals.
In order for our students to intern at Whidbey Health, we need to have the Uniform Clinical Education Affiliation Agreement and
the Business Associate Agreement approved.
