Erin Fox SHS Principal – SHS received a $10k grant for a 9th grade success team from OSPI – Doug the coach has been fantastic. The goal is to increase the 9th grade success rate. 9th grade success is the #1 predictor of graduation. Students are three times more likely to graduate if they finish their 9th grade year. SHS is tracking data and has put initiatives in place, organizational, and with extended learning one hour a week to work on essential standards. Thank you to the Port Angeles School District for recommending Sequim for the grant. Port Angeles is in their 2nd year with the program.
LRFPG – As of today six presentations have been completed. The Safety fair was an unplanned opportunity this last Saturday to share information with attendees. We were able to speak with people who do not have students in our schools.
