  The special meeting of the Bremerton School District Board of Directors was called to order at 9:05 am by Board President Alyson Rotter.  The Study Session was held in the Curriculum Library at the Administration Building, 134 Marion Ave. No., Bremerton, WA 98312.

  Study Session
  The Board met in study session and reviewed current policies in the 1000 Series (Legal Status and Operation).  They compared these to WSSDA's (WA State School Directors' Assn) Model Policies.  Superintendent Leavell noted those changes that the Board would like to see.  Any changes will come to the Board in the near future for first read.  As Policy 1310 deals with Policy Adoption (Manuals and Administrative Procedures, as well), this will be one of the first revisions to come to the Board.  Furthermore, the District currently has separate procedures (1310P) for this Policy, but since the procedures are, in fact, entwined within the Policy, and WSSDA does not recommend separate procedures, the District will remove these separate procedures as well.  
  The Board reviewed Policies 1000 through 1450, and will review the balance (1600 through 1830) at a future date to be determined.

At 12:07 pm, Director Rubie moved to adjourn.  The motion carried unanimously and the meeting was adjourned at 12:07 pm.
